Membership at Carleton Community Association

The Community Association has various sources of income: Trading, Business Rental, Community Rental, Sections levy and membership contributions. The latter provide a base income which goes towards paying some of the overheads like Electricity.

Membership contributions are allowed to be Gift aided, which means that the income tax you have paid can be reclaimed from the Treasury by Charitable Trusts. So every £10 becomes worth about £12 to the Charity which means we get help eventually from the Inland Revenue.

Currently we have about 500 members and encourage all users and to become full members. The advantages are cheaper refreshments and cheaper hire rates as well as priority for tickets to popular functions like the New Years Eve party.
